Job Title: Experienced Sales Engineer

Job Description:
ARCHIBUS, Inc. is seeking an experienced Sales Engineer to play a key role in the business development team, which is responsible for growing revenue through system integration partners and strategic accounts.

As an integral member of the team, the Sales Engineer will work cooperatively with system integration partners and business development managers to present the technical value proposition of our infrastructure and facility management software product.

The successful candidate will have a proven background in supporting complex sales environments, working within the dynamics of partnerships, leveraging product management to architect and deliver solutions through consultative selling. The ideal candidate will be a driven, highly-motivated team player with strategic vision, a diverse technical background, and a significant track record in sales execution.

Responsibilities:
  • Maintain in-depth functional and technical knowledge of ARCHIBUS, Inc. and its third party integration connectors
  • Perform tailored on-site product presentations and demonstrations. Target audiences include: end users, IT staff, business analysts and executives
  • Manage the day-to-day technical relations with system integrations partners, acting as a technical liaison and as a champion to promote the partnership through the phases of implementation: pre-sales, post-sales, training, technical support, product management, etc.
  • Leverage existing third-party technology solutions to help build stronger alliances with current partners and evaluate, prioritize and deliver additional integration solutions through new alliances
  • Work with internal teams in product management, development, marketing, sales, sales engineering, etc., to research, invent and establish features, functions and benefits vital to solution delivery
  • Write presentation-quality needs analysis and system design documents based on customer interviews
  • Respond in detail to functional and technical elements of RFIs/RFPs
  • 30% travel, primarily domestic
Requirements:

Required Sales Skills and Experience:
  • Experience in related software markets such as CRM or ERP, or ideally Corporate Real Estate
  • Experience in a software sales environment
  • Professional consulting experience preferred
  • Experience in enterprise software solution selling
  • Outstanding presentation skills, excellent written and verbal skills required
  • BA/BS degree
Required Technical Skills and Experience:
  • Understanding of the software development, market release and market positioning process
  • Ability to translate technical/business requirements into a tactical, technical sales plan
  • Analyzing client needs and designing data structures and methods, as required
  • Professional development experience in HTML, XSL, JavaScript, and SQL, a must
  • Experience with Java, Web service applications, workflow, and document management, a plus
  • Experience with CAD or GIS, a plus
